Word Match privacy policy
Mazze Studios (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides Word Match, an Android word-puzzle game with package ID com.mazzestudios.word_match. This policy explains how information is handled when you play, view advertisements, use optional reminders, or make in-app purchases.
Information stored by the game
Word Match stores game progress on your device. This includes completed and partially completed puzzles, discovered words, scores, stars, coins, hearts, hints, reward claims, daily goals, settings, and reminder preferences. The game also stores purchase-delivery records to help avoid crediting the same purchase twice.
The game creates a random local player identifier and a hashed identifier derived from an Android app-scoped device identifier, or a locally generated fallback. These identifiers help associate local saves with a player and device. The game does not read your IMEI or phone number for this purpose. Current gameplay does not require an account, and the current release does not provide account-based cloud progress synchronization.
This local game information is not automatically sent to a Mazze Studios game server. Third-party advertising and purchase services have separate data handling, described below. Android may back up or transfer app data according to your device and Google account settings; this is separate from an in-game cloud account.
Advertising
Word Match includes Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads for banner, full-screen, and optional rewarded advertisements. Internal testing versions may show Google sample ads. Initializing the advertising SDK can still involve data processing.
Google’s advertising services may process IP addresses and approximate location inferred from them; advertising, app-set, device, or account-related identifiers; ad and app interactions such as launches, taps, and video views; and diagnostic or performance information. These services use information to provide and measure advertisements, operate and improve their services, and prevent fraud and abuse. The information processed depends on the SDK, device, advertising settings, and available privacy choices. Word Match does not request precise GPS location to provide gameplay.
See Google’s Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from apps, and Google Mobile Ads data disclosures.
In-app purchases
Coin purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. Google handles payment details and its own purchase and account records. Mazze Studios does not receive your full payment-card details through Word Match.
The game receives purchase-related information such as the product identifier, purchase status, purchase token, and verification information to validate a purchase and deliver coins. Local delivery records help prevent duplicate credit. Coins, hints, and hearts are currently maintained in a device-local wallet. Purchase histories maintained by Google are separate from the game’s local balance; already consumed coin purchases do not by themselves restore that balance after data loss.
Google’s handling of payment and account data is governed by its own policies, including Google Payments Privacy Notice.
Optional reminders
If you enable reminders and allow Android notifications, the game schedules engagement reminders locally on your device. You can turn them off in game settings or Android notification settings. The current reminder feature does not require an email address or registration with a Mazze Studios push-notification server.
Save export, import, and sharing
If you choose Export save, the game writes a file to a location you select. The file contains game state, identifiers, balances, settings, and local purchase-delivery records. Treat it as private. A selected cloud storage provider may receive that file if you save or share it there. Imported saves are processed on your device, and the game retains a local recovery copy of the save that existed before the most recent import.
If you choose Copy or Share for game results, the game places the selected result on your clipboard or passes it to the app you choose. That app handles shared information under its own policies.
Support communications
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, and screenshots. We use it to answer your request, investigate problems, and meet applicable legal obligations. Please do not send payment-card information, passwords, or unnecessary personal information.
Your choices and deletion
You can clear Word Match’s local data in Android Settings > Apps > Word Match > Storage, or remove the app. This can erase your progress, local wallet, settings, and delivery records. Exported files and Android or cloud-provider backups may remain separately; manage or delete them through the relevant files, device, or account controls.
You can manage notification permissions and advertising-ID settings through Android. Changes to advertising settings do not necessarily stop all advertising-related processing. Google Play purchase records and information held independently by Google are managed through Google’s services and privacy controls.
Contact help@mazzestudios.com for questions or requests concerning information you supplied directly to Mazze Studios. Where applicable, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your information. We will review requests in accordance with applicable law and the information we actually hold.
Retention, security, and international processing
Local game records remain on your device until they are cleared, replaced, or removed, subject to device backup and restoration. We retain support correspondence as needed to respond and meet applicable obligations. Google and other providers determine retention for information they process under their policies.
The game uses Android’s application storage protections for local saves. Google states that Mobile Ads SDK data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Exported saves are not separately encrypted by Word Match. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
Google and providers you choose may process information outside your country under their respective privacy terms and safeguards.
Children and families
Word Match is intended for players aged 13 and above and is not directed to children under 13. Normal gameplay does not ask players to enter their age, name, or contact details. Parents and guardians may use Android and Google Play parental controls to manage advertising-related settings and purchases. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information directly to Mazze Studios, contact help@mazzestudios.com so we can review the concern and take appropriate steps regarding information we hold.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the game or its data practices change. The updated policy will show a revised date.
